You can find the “Aranyos” oak trees of Cserkeszőlő South-West of the spa town, at a 15 minutes cycling. The Cserkeszőlő people say that the acorns were planted in the sand in the 1850’s. They wanted to make up the indigenous vegetation, but the rodents caused a great damage to them. By today, there are only 11 pieces from the pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur).
Our long term plans include the development of an educational path or hiking trail leading the visitors to the site of the nature protection value.
